Introducing eTennisPro

By Kim Shanley
Publisher, TennisOne

Today, we’re introducing eTennisPro, a revolutionary new way of communicating and managing tennis programs and other sports programs. eTennisPro is designed to help tennis teaching pros run their tennis programs, but everyone will find it is a powerful communication and event management tool.

A message from TennisOne Publisher, Kim Shanley.

Why is eTennisPro revolutionary? In particular, eTennisPro supports tremendous event management and emailing flexibility. You can quickly sort your contacts into appropriate groups and announcement your program events with one click. In other words, there is precise outreach to the different groups within your contact base and a simple, intuitive way for individuals in these groups to sign up for events. Everyone gets the communication they need and most email/phone tag is eliminated!

eTennisPro is a completely free service (no gimmicks or gotchas), and anyone can sign up and use it. For those who want to skip my write-up and jump right into how eTennisPro looks and feels, here are some links to explore.

Reasons for Adopting eTennisPro

Greater Revenue. With eTennisPro, you can easily increase the participation/sign-ups for individual and group lessons, clinics, fun events, social events. Just think what a 20-50 percent increase in sign-ups throughout the year would mean to your revenue stream!

Ultra-powerful communication system. eTennisPro allows you to set up events, email the details of the event to hundreds of people with a click of a button, and then allows all your contacts to simply click back to your eTennisPro webpage and learn and sign-up for your event. You can set-up automatic email reminders a week, 3 days or the day before an event so that the people who sign up for an event really do show up. You can even see if your emails are getting read—a capability that expensive commercial services highly tout.

Enormous time savings. Teaching pros and club management spend hundreds of hours per year answering the phone/email, responding to members requests for event information and manually handling sign-up opportunities or cancellations. eTennisPro automates this entire process, eliminating 90 percent of this phone and email tag.

Major cost savings. Eliminate hundreds of dollars in printing/postage/phone costs. Replace paper newsletters and calendars with eTennisPro emails/web pages. Eliminate thousands of needless phone calls exchanging basic information that is better handled via eTennisPro.

Increased personal and club prestige. With eTennisPro, your emails and webpages can include photos and information highlights about you or your club, a constant reminder that you maintain the highest level of professionalism and dedication.

Increased client satisfaction. eTennisPro keeps your members/contacts in contact with your program, eliminating complaints that they didn't know about something or couldn't sign-up for an event they wanted to participate in.

Targeted communication. eTennisPro allows you to create different mailing lists so that you communicate with different groups. For example, you can have a mailing list for juniors, 3.5 women, or 4.5 men, so that everyone gets all the communication they need but no more.

Powerful event management. You can set-up your event calendar for the entire year. If you have a repeating or recurring event on the same day each week or month, say a Men's clinic, you can input the details once and generate the event on your calendar for the next year.

Easy import of contacts and email addresses. eTennisPro provides an easy method to import your email addresses from your email client so that you don’t have to re-input them manually.

Build your business and The Game. eTennisPro vastly increases the outreach of every pro, allowing many more people to learn about and participate in your program.

This is just the beginning of the features and capabilities we are building into eTennisPro. Yes, it takes a little investment of time to set up your eTennisPro and import your contacts. But once you do, we believe this will become the central platform for managing your sports program.

As always, we would love to hear from you! Questions, comments, personal experiences all create helpful dialogue for everyone! Please click here to send us your email.

Current Features

Ball Control - Distance

In the final installment of his series on Ball Control, Wayne Elderton examines the issue of distance. Controlling space is a big part of tennis tactics. Putting your opponent in locations that are not an advantage and locating yourself in positions of greater advantage makes for a winning game. Space wise, a singles court is almost three times longer than it is wide. That means there’s a lot of potential territory to exploit if the Distance of a shot can be manipulated.

A Quantitative Analysis of WTA Doubles

In recent years, the face of professional doubles has changed considerably, particularly on the WTA Tour. Since you picked up a racquet, you were taught to attack the net, so why are the women on the tour playing one up and one back? Doug Eng takes a detailed look at this style of play, analyzing hundreds of points from eight matches on hard courts from 2003 to 2006 with sixteen different WTA players. What he discovered may surprise you.

Crosscourt with Matt Cronin and Joel Drucker

Roger Federer had an absolutely dominant year last year, winning three out of the four slams but judging from his performance at this years Australian Open, he seems to have put even more space between him and the rest of the field. It's a bit early, but the talk now is about whether Roger can win the slam. TennisOne Pundits, Matt Cronin and Joel Drucker examine possibility and whether anyone out there can stop him.

The Etcheberry Experience DVD

For more than twenty years Pat Etcheberry has been providing athletes from around the world with the winning edge. We call this the Etcheberry Experience, and players with an Etcheberry experience have hoisted Championship Trophies at over one hundred major championships, including 28 Australian Opens, 18 Wimbledons, 22 UP Opens, 22 French Opens and 15 Olympic medals.

And now it's your turn! This is your chance to experience the same drills, exercises and words of tennis wisdom that Pat gave to Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Jennifer Capriati, Martina Hingis, Jim Courier, Justine Henin-Hardenne, and others, that helped launch them on their incredible careers. For the first time, Pat Etcheberry shares his training secrets in a series of DVDs for players of all ages, their coaches, and trainers.
